LB&BC Receives $23,900 From Ontario Trillium Foundation

LBampBC Receives 23900 From Ontario Trillium Foundation
Today we can announce that the LB&BC had rceived a $23,900 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The OTF grant will upgrade and improve the water access and safety support infrastructure for water sports activities on the Kingston waterfront in order to enhance the availability of recreational and competitive activities for youth and adults. A dock will be purchased to allow for participation by a wider group of community members in Club programs. By providing a low dock it will make it easier for community members of all ages and abiities to increase the participation in activities.

A set of safety equipment will support activities and includes radios, safety/coaching paddle boards and kayaks and an accessible Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to be housed at the Legion. This ensures safety and facilitates activities including a 2.5 and 5km race series in the summer of 2016.

Capital equipment purchased will have a long and lasting legacy for years to come and we are very excited to received this opportnity through the OTF.

Check back soon for Launching events and the Trillium Race Series Announcements.
